Norovant Timber
the future of industrial flooring
Interface sets the standard for design, sustainability, and performance in commercial flooring, producing products with a positive impact. Built on a unified aesthetic, we designed a modular series of animations for Interface’s Norovant Timber flooring. Featuring a woodgrain look and high resistance to wear and tear, Norovant Timber is industrial-level flooring with a biophilic nature, capable of bringing a warm, calm look to typically sterile environments.

creative concept
Building on the defined concept by Good Brand Consultants, we created a visual narrative highlighting the product’s layered technical build and material innovation. Abstract and figurative visuals balance product benefits with a design-led feel – combining technical detail with storytelling, whilst staying aligned with the wider brand and campaign.
We developed bespoke scenes that communicate the design (norovant in context), the inspiration (the twelve colour/material variations and natural beauty of the product), the performance (how the product coating performs against chemicals), and the construction (the material layering).
art direction - lighting, shadows and abstraction.
Our art direction spotlights Norovant's unique combination of high-performance sustainability and the warm aesthetics of wood. Inspired by the twelve colour and material variations and the natural beauty of the product, we defined a cohesive aesthetic that connects abstracted visuals with accurate product textures, motion design, and physical simulations.
Our intention was to use light – especially daylight – to ‘paint’ the spaces, aiming for a soft natural glow, and a diffused quality that gently moves across the flooring. We designed a lighting aesthetic that complements the more literal interior scenes and continues the story of warm, natural materials, responsive surfaces, and clearly defined depth and form.

ArchViz Development
The sequences came together with a space that felt approachable, inviting, but was minimalist and refined enough to show off the flooring - and how it creates a more natural atmosphere within a big space. The design, layout, props used, and interior styling went through multiple iterations to land on the right tone of voice. We envisioned an environment that could realistically serve as a healthcare facility, while also being sleek, stylish, and modern, without coming across as too formal.

Scene development
We used abstract creative elements to showcase the product’s structure and durability. We first defined the motion needed to highlight the material qualities, then created animations with physical, tactile, and weighty characteristics to keep it feeling real, even in more abstract scenes.
