Huma Cloud Platform

Giving intelligence form

Bolder partnered with Huma to show what its platform makes possible. Huma builds the cloud-based infrastructure that sits behind better outcomes in healthcare, life sciences and government, so our focus was on real-world impact rather than technology for its own sake. Our animated brand film turns a complex platform into a flowing visual narrative, following how one system connects and supports work across all three sectors. Building on Huma's established identity, we developed a dimensional graphic language that gives abstract technology a clear, tangible presence for health care professionals.

MAKING COMPLEXITY CLEAR

Huma brings together data, software and AI within a platform built for the demands of regulated industries. It enables organisations to connect existing systems, coordinate workflows and develop intelligent services, with governance and regulatory controls embedded in the infrastructure.

The brief called for a film that communicated this breadth with authority and a human sensibility. For audiences ranging from hospital IT teams to public health leaders and life sciences organisations, the challenge was to preserve the substance of the technology while making its purpose easy to follow.

EXPANDING THE VISUAL LANGUAGE

Huma’s brand graphics provided the foundation. We extended their geometry, typography and restrained palette into a library of elements that could explain individual ideas and combine into a coherent system.

Cubes, layered planes and interconnected structures give form to the narrative: separate data sources become organised, systems connect, and intelligence operates across a shared foundation. Each composition balances technical detail with visual simplicity, giving the audience enough information to understand the relationships without overwhelming the frame.

ONE CONNECTIVE NARRATIVE

A refined script, delivered through an AI voiceover, guides the audience through the platform and its applications. On-screen typography punctuates the sequence in Huma’s brand style, reinforcing key ideas at considered moments.

The finished film brings narrative, design and motion together into a clear introduction to Huma’s proposition. It communicates the scale and sophistication of the technology through a visual language that feels distinctive, accessible and faithful to the brand.

DEPTH BY DESIGN

Working in After Effects, we combined 2D techniques with three-dimensional movement to retain the precision of the brand while introducing a richer, more filmic quality. Rotation, layered perspectives and carefully controlled depth of field bring space and focus to the compositions.

Subtle chromatic separation adds texture and optical detail. These treatments give the graphics a tactile presence, with depth used to establish hierarchy and direct attention as the explanation develops.

ENGINEERING THE FLOW

A consistent motion language connects the sequence. Carefully eased movements and changes in speed create a measured rhythm, punctuated by unexpected transformations. Forms assemble, separate and reconfigure, carrying one idea naturally into the next.

Every keyframe was considered. Bespoke expressions and precise control across the After Effects layers shape how elements accelerate, settle and respond to one another. The resulting movement gives the film character while allowing each explanation time to register.
