CMR Surgical Versius Plus

The future of surgery

Versius Plus is the next evolution of surgical robotics. A human-sized system built for flexibility in crowded theatres, with precision tools and console control that enhance surgeon performance. For the global launch, we created a cinematic film and a suite of stills that visualise the product's innovation from the inside out. Combining live action with detailed CGI and UI overlays, the visuals break down complexity and highlight real-world functionality.

CGI and UI in Harmony

At the centre of the project was a launch film that brought all elements together. CGI, footage and interface overlays were combined to create a cohesive story, tailored for digital campaigns, investor presentations and industry showcases. We also produced a suite of high-resolution stills, each focusing on the advanced tools and components that sit at the robotic arm’s core.

We bring robot, software, instruments, and surgeon together through a unified design language.

Precision in motion

​​​We developed a visual language to reflect the system’s precision, adaptability and intelligence. Using a photographic CGI style and minimalist aesthetic, each scene blends clean UI graphics with high-detail product visuals, highlighting the advanced control and responsiveness that define the technology.

Subtle UI and motion graphics were designed to support the animation flow and enhance the technical feel. These details added structure without overwhelming the frame, helping to guide the viewer’s attention while reinforcing a future-facing design system.

Design accuracy, rigging and simulation.

Every surface, joint, and texture was built to exact specifications, with material finishes and engineering details carefully matched to the product’s real-world performance.

To carry the precision into movement, we developed animation rigs with accurate limits, axis rotation, and joint flexibility – ensuring both visual realism and mechanical integrity.
